Wannannosaurus's Story

Wannanosaurus is an adult male loggerhead sea turtle that was rescued from the St. Lucie Research Site. He was transferred to the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility at Gumbo Limbo where he was treated for internal infection & a severe shark bite wound. After successful rehabilitation and veterinary care, Wannanosaurus was fitted with a satellite tag tracker on their carapace, and released back into the wild on July 20th, 2022!
