Everglades's Story
Pier Hooked
Everglades is a juvenile green sea turtle that was rescued after an accidental hooking at the Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier. The sea turtle rehabilitation staff immediately removed the fishing hook stuck in their jaw and provided treatment for inflammation. After a few weeks of supportive care, pain management, and a veggie only diet, Everglades has made a full recovery and is back in the ocean!
