Osmosis's Story

Osmosis was rescued from Port Canaveral, FL with braided line and monofilament entangled around her body and a hook in her neck. She also presented fibropapilloma tumors near her front and rear flippers, both eyes, mouth, and neck.

2021-Mar-12 Released in Vero Beach, FL.
2021-Mar-10 Wounds healed. Healthy and ready for release.
2021-Mar-02 Wounds healing well. Finished course of medications.
2021-Feb-16 Veterinarian performed tumor removal surgery. Apply honey to surgical site daily.
2021-Feb-09 Eating well and active. Surgery pending healthy bloodwork parameters.
2021-Jan-31 Transferred to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Begin supportive medications and completed diagnostic bloodwork and radiographs.
2021-Jan-30 Rescued from Port Canaveral, FL with monofilament wrapped around body and fibropapillomatosis tumors. Taken to Brevard Zoo's Sea Turtle Healing Center. Monofilament and hook removed.
