Viceroy's Story

Viceroy was rescued by divers in Deerfield Beach, FL with old and new boat strike wounds. She had old wounds were at the anterior end of her carapace and fresh propellor lacerations were on her lower half of her carapace.  Her front right flipper was entangled in fishing line with a metal grate attached. It was partially healed and appeared to be infected.

2020-May-7 Rescued from Deerfield Beach, FL with old and new boat strike wounds and  fishing line entanglement. Viceroy succumbed to her injuries and died shortly after arriving at rehabilitation facility.
