Ladybug's Story

Ladybug was rescued from Hollywood Beach, FL washed ashore with boat struke injuries. She has a laceration above her right eye and the upper right side of her carapace.

2020-Apr-5 Ladybug succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
2020-Mar-26 Begin total parenteral nutrition (TPN) due to lack of appetite and facial wound.
2020-Mar-24 Begin alternating leech treatment and MLS laser therapy on swollen left front flipper.
2020-Mar-20 Discontinue wound V.A.C. negative pressure therapy. Placed in shallow water. Begin MLS laser therapy and honey application to wounds daily.
2020-Mar-15 Veterinarian examined and cleaned wounds. Applied bone cement to facial laceration. Applied wound V.A.C. bandage and started negative pressure therapy to carapace wound. Currently dry docked.
2020-Mar-14 Rescued from Hollywood Beach, FL with a boat strike injury on her face and right side of carapace. Statrted on supportive medications.
