Java's Story

Java was rescued from the Lake Worth Lagoon after being observed floating at the surface by Palm Beach County Environmental Resource Management scientists. While there were no obvious physical injuries, Java is extremely lethargic and radiographs revealed a small hook fragment in her jaw.

2020-Sep-23 Radiographs revealed hook fragment embedded in jaw. Hook fragment removed and started supportive medications and fluids.
