Iced Tea's Story

Iced Tea was rescued from Riviera Beach, FL after being observed floating nearby for several weeks. While there are no physical injuries observed, radiographs revealed a hook in Iced Tea's throat.

2020-Nov-03 CT Scan revealed severe GI damage due to ingesting hook and monofilament. Veterinarian prescribed euthanasia.
2020-Oct-21 Secondary radiographs show lung congestion. Start nebulizing treatment.
2020-Oct-13 Not interested in food. Started tube feeding and Total Parental Nutrition (TPN) treatments.
2020-Sep-23 Recovering from surgery. Eating sporatically.
2020-Sep-22 Surgery performed to remove hook from esophagus. Started supportive medications and fluids to prevent infection from surgery.
2020-Sep-21 Radiographs revealed hook ingestion.
2020-Sep-20 Rescued from Riviera Beach after being found floating.
