Daiquiri's Story

Daiquiri was rescued from North Palm Beach, FL near Little Munyon Island. She was caught by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission during their fish population research survey. Due to her large load of fibropapilloma tumors, she was transferred to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center for treatment.

2020-Dec-01 Routine wound debridement. Cleared for release by veterinarian.
2020-Nov-24 Second tumor removal surgery performed. Apply honey to surgical sites daily.
2020-Nov-20 Regrowth monitored. Continue supportive care.
2020-Oct-30 Minor regrowth found on tissues.
2020-Oct-06 Routine wound debridement.
2020-Sept-20 Tumor removal surgery performed. Apply honey to surgical sites daily.
2020-Aug-8 Eating well and very active! Surgery pending healthy bloodwork parameters.
2020-Jul-29 Veterinarian tied off superficial tumors for easy removal.
2020-Jul-27 Rescued from North Palm Beach, FL by FWC and was covered with fibropapilloma tumors. Taken to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center for treatment. Began supportive medications and completed diagnostic bloodwork and radiographs.
