Curie's Story

Curie was rescued by biologists at Inwater Research Group from the St. Lucie Powerplant presenting with healed injuries from a shark attack. Curie is missing portions of her front left flipper and rear right flipper and carapace.

2021-Jan-19 Wounds fully healed. Cleared for release by veterinarian.
2021-Jan-05 Active and eating well. PCV value is normal.
2020-Dec-22 Finished course of medications. Begin anemia treatment and monitor PCV.
2020-Dec-01 Continue supportive medication. Discontinue fluid therapy.
2020-Nov-18 Began Hetastarch fluid therapy.
2020-Nov-11 Wounds cleaned. In shallow water. Eating and more active.
2020-Nov-09 Rescued from St. Lucie, FL with shark bite injuries to flippers and rear carapace. Began supportive medications and completed diagnostic bloodwork and radiographs.
