Cicada's Story

Cicada was rescued from Homestead, FL in the Convey Point Channel with fibropapilloma tumors and entangled in fishing line. Most of the line was removed during the rescue, leaving a deep impression around the neck.

2020-Feb-11 Veterinarian examination determined internal tumors, indicating final stage progression of virus. Prescribed euthanasia.
2020-Jan-31 Veterinarian tied off a few superficial tumors to cut off blood circulation for easy removal.
2020-Jan-28 Fibropapilloma tumors are located on Cicada's flippers and on eyes. Radiographs revealed no internal hooks, but she is currently passing fishing line. Started on antibiotic medication.
