Hubble's Story

Hubble was rescued from Cocoa Beach after being found lethargic and covered in barnacles. She was first taken to Brevard Zoo Sea Turtle Healing Center before being transferred to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Multiple internal infections were discovered and treated. After recovering, Hubble was released from Pineda Beach Park in St. Lucie County.

2019-May-21 Released at Pineda Beach Park in St. Lucie County.
2019-Apr-30 Discontinued medication.
2019-Apr-23 Discontinued MLS laser therapy and honey & silver sulfadiazine treatments.
2019-Apr-09 Changed medications as directed by veterinarian from results of bloodwork. Continue wound care.
2019-Mar-03 Began nebulizer treatment daily to treat pneumonia.
2019-Mar-02 Barnacles caused pockets of keratin to peel off of carapace. Started on honey & silver sulfadiazine treatment daily for wounds. Began MLS laser therapy daily.
2019-Feb-27 Transferred to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center and started on antibiotic medication. Freshwater bath to remove barnacles.
2019-Feb-26 Rescued from Cocoa Beach and taken to Brevard Zoo Sea Turtle Healing Center.
