Gamora's Story

Gamora was rescued from Dubois Park in Jupiter, FL after being found floating and unable to dive with  fibropapilloma tumors on the soft tissues. Covered in algae and some barnacles, Gamora received a freshwater bath and some fluids to stabilize her condition. Supportive care will be administered until Gamora is strong enough to undergo tumor removal surgery.

2020-Mar-18 Released at Coral Cove Park in Tequesta, FL.
2020-Mar-14 Cleared for release by veterinarian. Applied flipper and pit tags.
2020-Feb-18 Final tumor removal surgery performed. Apply honey to surgical sites daily. Monitor for regrowth.
2019-Dec-02 Tumor removal surgery performed. Apply honey to surgical sites daily.
2019-Nov-19 Patient stable and ready for surgery. 
2019-Sep-20 Started treatment for low red blood cell levels. 
2019-Sep-19  Began supportive care including antibiotics and fluids to stabilize for tumor removal surgery. 
2019-Sep-18 Rescued from Dubois Park in Jupiter, FL covered in algae and barnacles with fibropapilloma tumors on soft tissue.
