The Eco-Watch Lecture Series is celebrating 35 years of Gumbo Limbo Nature Center! Learn about the past, present, and future of science and conservation. Attend one or all of Gumbo Limbo Nature Center’s presentations by a guest scientist, author, researcher, or other expert.
This week our speaker is Whitney Crowder, Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Coordinator, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center.
Gumbo Limbo’s Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility was opened in 2010, and quickly became the busiest spot on campus, treating 177 turtles in the first few months! Whitney has been with Gumbo Limbo Nature Center since 2012 and has been working in the conservation field for almost 20 years. She will share the history of Gumbo Limbo’s Sea Turtle Rehabilitation program and our plans for an amazing future.
