For over 30 years, the beloved 40-foot Gumbo Limbo Tower stood as a local landmark for nature lovers and created happy memories for thousands of visitors. In 2016, the tower was declared unsafe and was demolished.
Now, Friends of Gumbo Limbo and the Kosowsky Family of Boca Raton are joining together in the “Bring Back the Tower” Campaign to raise $500,000 to restore the tower, complete with an inclined elevator that will allow everyone to enjoy its magnificent views of the lush mangrove hammock, the Intracoastal, and the Boca Raton skyline.
The Kosowsky Family has kicked off the “Bring Back the Tower” Campaign with a gift of $250,000 to name the tower’s viewing platform: Jacob’s Outlook. Their gift honors Sharilyn and Steve’s son and Mia’s brother Jacob, who passed suddenly in 2018, and is a testament to his passion for family, the ocean, sea life and conservation.
The Friends of Gumbo Limbo and the Kosowsky Family need your help to raise the remaining $250,000 needed to restore the Tower so we can all appreciate its magic!
