What is a Coastal Steward?
Put simply, a Coastal Steward is an individual who has pledged to do better to preserve our coastal environments.
For decades our organization has served the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, helping facilitate new tanks, pumps, and enhancements of the wonderful sea turtle rehabilitation hospital on site.
While we once served our community as “Friends of Gumbo Limbo,” in 2022 we realized that our capacity to do good extended far beyond the Nature Center’s doors.
While we remain wholeheartedly dedicated to the Nature Center, our new identity of Gumbo Limbo Coastal Stewards allows us to reach more communities than ever to conserve our coastal habitats.
Now, we’re seeking like minded Coastal Stewards to join the cause. We are always reaching out to our members with eco-tips, beach cleanup opportunities, and of course special VIP turtle events.
Your Coastal Steward membership gives you unfettered access to our sea turtles, in addition to other perks that can enhance your stewardship.
