We are in the process of looking at new ways to make Coastal Steward Membership even more valuable, and we’ve just begun a new program we think you’ll love.

The Sea Turtle Team at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is hard at work rehabilitating these sea turtles, and with the summer season in hand, it’s vital that we keep space open in the facility for future sick or injured sea turtles.

That means that all summer long, Gumbo Limbo Coastal Stewards will be hosting events to release each sea turtle back into the wild. We can’t emphasize enough how amazing these releases are, and we hope you’ll consider a membership to join us for the next one.

Want to get the invite? Here’s what you need to do:

• Become a Coastal Steward: You MUST be a member to receive invitations to sea turtle release events.
• Watch your email: When a sea turtle is ready to get back to sea, we’ll send you an invitation, but act fast! Due to regulations, only a few coastal stewards can join each event. We use a first-come-first-served invitation system, with higher-level members receiving emailed invitations earlier in the day.
• Accept the invite in time, and you’ll get details on the secret release location!
• Join us for an incredible day!
