Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is pleased to offer two different summer camps. Both camps offer week-long sessions that vary each week by age group and hours. Please note that the registration for each of these camps is handled differently. Please read the information below and follow the links to learn how to register for each.
At Environmental Camp, children and teens will be immersed in the native world around them through outdoor fun and hands-on activities! Games at the beach, dip netting in the lagoon, and water sports are just a few of the outdoor adventures that bring our campers back year after year. Older campers learn to canoe and kayak and teens take a snorkeling field trip to Peanut Island. Don’t let your child or teen miss out on an amazing and educational summer camp experience they’ll never forget! Sign up early to save your space for session of fun and learning with Gumbo Limbo! Hours for Environmental Camp are 8:30 am – 2:00 pm. Extended Camp is available until 6:00 pm for Environmental campers. Learn more by clicking here.
Registration for Environmental and Extended Camps are through Camp Boca, not Gumbo Limbo. Through games, crafts, and educational activities, our instructors will teach the young conservationist about the importance of caring for and protecting sea turtles and other marine life. Campers will experience close encounters with our resident sea turtles and visit a local nesting beach.
Gumbo Limbo handles the registration for Sea Turtle Camp. Friends of Gumbo Limbo Membership is required (Family Membership or higher) for this camp. Not a Member? Not a problem! You can join and register your child for camp at the same time. Click here to learn more about Sea Turtle Camp.
