Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is pleased to offer two different summer camps. Both camps offer half day, week-long camps that vary each week by age group. Please note that the registration for each of these camps is handled differently. Please read the information below and follow the links to learn how to register for each.
At Gumbo Limbo Environmental Camp, children and teens will be immersed in the native world around them through outdoor fun and hands-on activities! Games at the beach, dip-netting in the lagoon, and cane-pole fishing are just a few of the outdoor adventures that bring our campers back year after year. Older campers learn to canoe!
Registration for this camp is through Camp Boca, not Gumbo Limbo. It is very important you read the registration information ahead of time, especially how to obtain a user name and password in order to register online. Please click here for more information about Environmental Camp on our website, or click here for the 2017 Camp Boca brochure and the direction to sign up for Environmental Camp.
Through games, crafts, and educational activities, our instructors will teach the young conservationist about the importance of caring for and protecting sea turtles and other marine life. Campers will experience close encounters with our resident sea turtles and visit a local nesting beach. Each day will focus on a new theme.
Gumbo Limbo handles the registration for Sea Turtle Camp. Friends of Gumbo Limbo Membership is required (Family Membership or higher) for this camp. Not a Member? Not a problem! You can join and register your child for camp at the same time. Click here to learn more about Sea Turtle Camp.
