On Tuesday morning, April 26, Marine Turtle Specialists discovered the first loggerhead nest of the season! The female turtle’s tracks, and subsequent nest, were found just south of the Boca Raton Inlet. It is suspected this was the same turtle that came ashore on Saturday night but did not nest.
