Mangrove Paddle

Nature-lovers, get close up and personal with birds, crabs, spiders, and other swampy critters. Discover the magic of the mangroves with a Gumbo Limbo guide on a boardwalk tour at Rutherford Park, followed by a paddle through sheltered mangrove trails, and out into the open Intracoastal waters! Must be proficient at canoeing and able to get into and out of a canoe without assistance.

Bring your camera and binoculars on this ¾ mile guided boardwalk tour to learn more about Florida’s wetland birds and ecosystems. Meet our Gumbo Limbo Naturalist at the Wakodahatchee Wetland’s boardwalk entrance.

Members-Only Turtle Walk Ticket Sale

During the height of the sea turtle nesting season, we offer a Turtle Walk Program, where participants join us for an evening of everything sea turtles! If we are lucky, participants get to see a nesting loggerhead turtle.

Sea Turtle Release

Phoenix the Loggerhead is going home on June 12th at 4:30pm! She'll be released at Spanish River Park in Boca Raton, FL. Be on the beach by 4:30pm because you don't want to miss this very special moment!
