 What is a…..?

A fun, educational night program about sea turtles beginning in Gumbo Limbo’s classroom, followed by an ecology walk along the beach… and the chance to see a nesting loggerhead sea turtle!

An exciting and unique program about sea turtles beginning in Gumbo Limbo’s classroom, followed by a trip to the beach to watch Gumbo Limbo Staff release baby sea turtles into the ocean!

 Are there age limits?

Children must be at least 8 years old.  Minors under the age of 18 must attend with an adult.

Hatchling Releases are for all ages.  Minors under the age of 18 must attend with an adult.

 When do the programs  occur?

Thurs. nights, May 18, 25; and every Tues, Wed, and Thurs night from June 5-July 13 (no program July 4). 

Doors open at 8:30 and the program will start promptly at 8:45 PM.  The program ends after one loggerhead is seen (not guaranteed), or at 12:00 AM, whichever occurs first.

Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs nights (no program Sept 4):

July 17-Aug 10, 8:00–9:30 PM

Aug 14-Sept 7, 7:30–9:00 PM

Doors open 15 minutes before program start time.



 

 How do I make reservations?

Advanced reservations are required.  Reservations can only be purchased online through an external website, Brown Paper Tickets (Turtle Walks here, Hatchling Releases here.)  Please bring your email confirmation with you the night of your program. Reservations can also be made towards the bottom of this page!

Do Friends of Gumbo Limbo Members get a discount or other privileges?

 

Friends of Gumbo Limbo Members receive a discount on a specific number of reservations, and are eligible to participate in Members-Only Reservations.  In order to qualify for the Turtle Walk Program, become a Member by 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

When can I make reservations?

Starting at 9:00 AM on Monday, May 1, 2017 for Members, and at 9:00 AM on Monday, May 8, 2017 for General Reservations.

Starting at 9:00 AM on Monday, June 5, 2017 for Members, and at 9:00 AM on Monday, June 12, 2017 for General Reservations.

How much are reservations?

$10 for Members (limits apply, see below)

$17 for General Reservations (limit 6)

What are the limits for Members?

For Individual Memberships, up to 2 reservations may be purchased in advance and at $10 each

For Family Memberships, up to 6 reservations may be purchased in advance $10 each.

For Donor/Contributor Memberships, up to 10 reservations may be purchased in advance and/or at $10 each.

Reservation Policy

Only participants with reservations will be admitted.   We do not accept walk-ins or maintain a wait list.


Refund Policy

There is a strict refund window.  Greater than 72 hours prior to the event start time, refunds will be allowed for guests via the Brown Paper Tickets support line at 1-800-838-3006.  Within this 72 hours of the program, guests will not be issued refunds to the event.
