Family Programs

Please click on a program title below for additional information, including age restrictions, fees, and registration information.  Please also click on "Family Programs" for additional programs appropriate for children. Please be aware that for most programs, an adult must participate with children and teens under the age of 18.  Specifically, an adult must sign-up, attend, and pay the program fee. Please read the registration information for each individual program.  Some programs require pre-payment, other programs accept pre-payment but will accept walk-ins if there are openings. Programs are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. There are no refunds unless a class has been cancelled by Gumbo Limbo Nature Center.

Outdoor Sea Tank Feedings

Mangrove Paddle

Nature-lovers, get close up and personal with birds, crabs, spiders, and other swampy critters. Discover the magic of the mangroves with a Gumbo Limbo guide on a boardwalk tour at Rutherford Park, followed by a paddle through sheltered mangrove trails, and out into the open Intracoastal waters! Must be proficient at canoeing and able to get into and out of a canoe without assistance.

Wetlands & Wildlife
