Programs for Adults
Please note the list below includes programs that are open to adults. Please check the age specific age for each program as not all are for adults only. Many of the family orientated programs are appropriate for adults, therefore listed below.
Please call our Program Sign-up line at (561) 544-8615. Pre-payment and reservations required for all programs (unless otherwise indicated). Please sign up at least 24 hours before a scheduled program to help ensure that your favorite program will not be cancelled. Registrations will be accepted after this point if the program has not been cancelled and if there are openings. Programs are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. There are no refunds unless a class has been cancelled by Gumbo Limbo Nature Center.

Limpets & topsnails are a few of the shells you can find on Florida’s beaches. Meet at the Center to learn about seashells and the animals that make them. Caravan to Red Reef Beach Park and search for ocean treasures.
All ages. An adult must sign up and participate with child.
Cost per person: Member $5 Non-member $8
Explore the grasses and flats of the Intracoastal Waterway behind Gumbo Limbo. Hand-held dip nets and large seine nets allow us to catch and release a variety of fish, shrimp, crabs, and other marine life.
Ages 10-adult. An adult must sign up and participate with children.
