About Injured Sea Turtles and Other Wildlife
Gumbo Limbo Nature Center provides assistance to injured sea turtles only and does not accept other orphaned and/or injured wildlife.
Sick, Dead, or Injured Sea Turtles
If you find a dead, sick, or injured sea turtle, please call Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's 24-hour Wildlife Alert Number at 1-888-404-FWCC (1-888-404-3922) or dial *FWC on your mobile phone.
Please be prepared to answer the following questions:
Other Injured Wildlife (birds, land and freshwater tortoises and turtles, raccoons, etc)
Visit the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Wildlife Alert website to report injured wildlife. You can also visit the FWC Nuisance Wildlife website for additional reporting information..
If you need wildlife assistance in South Florida, please call the FWC Wildlife Alert Hotline at 1-888-404-FWCC (3922), dial *FWC on your mobile phone, or send a text message to TIP@myfwc.com.
