Gumbo Limbo Nature Center was founded in 1984 and is now a cooperative venture between the City of Boca Raton, The Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, Palm Beach County School District, Florida Atlantic University, and Friends of Gumbo Limbo.
The Center is designed to provide marine and coastal environmental education for the community through classes, workshops, field trips and research.
