Sea Tank Project Update

The exhibit contractor has completed the Nearshore Reef Tank habitat, and is working on the installation of the components for the Mangrove Tank habitat.  We expect the installation for the Mangrove tank will be completed by the end of next week, barring any unforeseen problems.  Circulation and testing of the water has already begun in the Nearshore Reef Tank and will begin in the Mangrove Tank shortly after the habitat installation is completed.  After approximately 1-2 weeks of testing, if all is well, introduction of animals (i.e. fish) can begin.  We still hope to have these tanks open to visitors the third week of May.  Please click here for the complete status update.
